A new mandatory “Date of Registration” field has been added just below the GSTIN field in the Ledger Master screen (create, edit, and view). This ensures you capture this crucial information for all GST-registered parties, fostering accurate record-keeping and GST compliance.
When you verify a party’s GSTIN within RealBooks, the system will automatically populate the “Date of Registration” field with the retrieved information. This eliminates manual entry and reduces the risk of errors.
An alert will now be triggered if you attempt to update a party’s GSTIN within a common ledger where the same GSTIN already exists.
No need to worry about manually updating the “Date of Registration” for every ledger associated with a particular GSTIN. RealBooks employs intelligent logic to automatically update the registration date across all common ledgers whenever you modify it in the primary ledger based on the latest return filing date or the existing registration date (whichever is later).
