A purchase requisition is a formal way of issuing a purchasing notice. It is merely the beginning of the process of purchase by asking for internal permission.
How to Create a Purchase Requisition
STEP 1: Go to Transactions⇒ Inventory ⇒ Purchase Cycle ⇒ Purchase Requisition
A Transaction Entry page will open.
STEP 2: Fill in the following details:
a. Godown– Search the name of the Godown.
b. Voucher No.– The voucher number is populated as per the set numbering pattern.
c. Date– Set the Requisition Date, this becomes the voucher date.
d. Item– Enter the name of the item.
e. Quantity– Enter the order quantity.
f. Delivery Date– Select the date by which the delivery is required.
CLICK on the “+” icon or press enter, to add a new row.
STEP 3: CLICK on “SUBMIT” and the requisition will be saved successfully.
How to Edit a Purchase Requisition Entry
Users can view, edit, or delete a purchase order entry from only the requisition status report available in the system.
TRANSACTION EDIT VIA PURCHASE REGISTER
Go to Reports⇒ Inventory⇒ Purchase Cycle⇒ Requisition Status
To edit an entry, click on the settings icon on the right-hand side of the entry & click on the Edit option, or alternatively, press Enter on the keyboard.
Do the necessary changes as required and click on the submit button.
How to Delete an Entry
DELETE– To delete an entry, open the entry in edit mode, then go to the Settings icon on the right-hand side of the page. From the drop-down menu select the delete voucher as required, enter the reason for deletion, and then click on delete.
